Outer Inner: Let's Go to the Beach

There's only 5 days of Winter left, and to say we're excited would be an understatement. We can't say goodbye to our sweaters and Winter warmers quick enough! This post is probably still a bit premature, because as we're writing this, it's chilly and bucketing rain outside.

If you read our previous post, you'll know that we recently got the opportunity to pick out some pieces form the Outer Inner site. In this post, we'll be styling the second dress we picked out.

Mint is the quintessential summertime colour. So when we spotted this scoop dress, we couldn't resist!

  *Dress: Outer Inner
Cardigan: Zara
Necklace: So Good Jewellery
Sandals: Sandler

Unfortunately, as we mentioned in our previous post, the sizing is slightly strange. The body of the dress was very fitted and felt at least 2 sizes too small despite being a size small, which is our usual size in clothing. The funny thing is that while the body of the dress was too small, the straps were quite long, so we actually had to pin them back to avoid showing too much (if you get our gist!).

Once again, we were also disappointed with the make of the dress. Mint is already such a light colour, but then without an inbuilt slip, we'd definitely be stopping traffic in this sheer number!

One of the things we were most excited about with this dress was the floral straps, but as you can see in the photos, each flower is linked by a thin thread. So when it's on, the straps don't feel very secure at all. They felt like they were going to give at any second, and as we mentioned, they are far too long.

To be honest, we are quiet pleased with how the outfit turned out in the photos, but whether we'd be brave enough to wear this dress out in public? Probably not...definitely never without a cardigan, that's for sure! We'd be lying if we said we weren't disappointed, we really do like the concept of the dress, but we just think that a little more thought could have been put into the design and make of the dress.
